Privacy notice
Effective October 19, 2026. This notice explains how SettlementLift handles information collected through settlementlift.com.
Information you provide
The inquiry form asks for your name, email and phone; attorney representation status; case type and state; and approximate month/year or unsure. It asks for a requested cash amount, optional for people without an attorney, and truck type when applicable. Attorney details are optional. We record the displayed contact-request wording, submission time and inquiry reference. Do not submit Social Security numbers, banking credentials, medical records or confidential case documents.
How we use and share an inquiry
SettlementLift uses your information to review your request and arrange follow-up by our team or a service partner. Partners may include funding providers and funding service companies that help respond to your request. We may share the contact and case information reasonably needed for that response, including representation status, requested amount and attorney contact details when provided. A team member or partner may call you about next steps. The form does not enroll you in unrelated marketing or authorize automated marketing calls or texts. We do not sell consumer health data. Any additional use or sharing that requires separate permission will wait for that permission.
Services used to operate the website
Vercel hosts the website, Supabase stores inquiries and supports staff sign-in, Cloudflare Turnstile helps verify requests, and Resend sends internal notices to our operator. Those notices include your name, requested cash amount when provided, a reference and a staff sign-in link. These providers may process technical access information needed to deliver their services. Our request-limit table uses a keyed network-address hash rather than storing the raw address in that table. We may also disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect the service and address fraud, subject to applicable law.
Access and retention
Authorized staff use a private workspace. We retain inquiry information while needed to respond, manage follow-up and meet applicable legal obligations. We review records when the purpose ends and handle verified deletion requests. Where information must be retained, we limit it to the permitted purpose. We do not connect advertising analytics or session replay to the inquiry flow.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics to measure visits to public website pages. For visitors in the United States, analytics runs by default, and you can turn it off at any time with the Privacy preferences button at the bottom of public pages. Running by default is not treated as your consent. In other locations, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, or when we cannot determine your location, analytics starts only after you choose Allow analytics. To choose the right default, the site checks the approximate country and state of your connection; that location is not stored. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals turn analytics off. Measurement is limited to public page visits and a few interactions, such as using, copying or printing the diminished value calculator and copying or sharing a page link, without the values you enter. Google may process technical visit information for those reports. Inquiry forms, staff pages and case information are excluded. We do not send names, emails, phone numbers, attorney details, accident dates, funding amounts, vehicle values, receipt references, URL queries or form entries to analytics. Advertising personalization, remarketing, Google signals and user-provided data are disabled. User and event retention are set to two months; standard aggregated reports are handled separately. An opt-out is stored in your browser and stays in place until you change it or clear site data. A choice to allow analytics is stored for up to six months.
Your privacy requests
Email contact@settlementlift.com to request access, a correction, deletion, or an end to further contact or sharing about your inquiry. You can also ask which partners received your information. No account is required. We will verify your identity using information reasonably necessary for the request; do not email identity documents or medical records unless we arrange a secure method. We respond within 45 days, or explain a legally permitted extension within that period. If we decline a request, we explain why and how to appeal by replying to the same address with “Privacy appeal.” We respond to appeals within 45 days and explain how to contact your state attorney general if an appeal is denied. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Injury-related information
Case type and accident details may reveal or suggest information about an injury or health condition. Our separate Consumer health data privacy policy explains the information, purposes, recipients and rights in more detail. You can find its link in the footer and beside the form’s submission statement.
Changes to this notice
Effective October 19, 2026. We post revisions here with a new effective date. For material changes affecting information already collected, we will provide a prominent website notice or contact affected people before the change takes effect, and obtain any permission required by law. A new notice does not retroactively authorize a new use of your information.
